Unveil
Bedford Express is hosting an Unveil where we are going to show off our robot that we have been building for the 2026 FRC Rebuilt season. At this event we will be introducing our students and mentors that have worked for 8 weeks to complete the necessary things to go to an event. Our impact team will be giving their presentation about the team and what we do, along with showing off the 2026 impact video to the public for the first time. For people who come we will provide snacks and drinks after the presentations.
Walleyes Fundraiser
This Sunday, BX is having a fundraiser at the Walleye game selling Chuck-A-Pucks that costumers will be free to throw onto the ice during second intermission.
Kick-Off

Ida Parade
Bedford Express will be showing off a float in the Christmas in Ida Parade of Lights on December 7th at 7:00pm at Lewis Avenue in Ida, Michigan. Our float will include robots and homemade Christmas props.

FTC Kickoff
Bedford Express will be hosting the FIRST Tech Challenge teams will investigate the power of the world’s artifacts and unlock mysteries in a new challenge, DECODE™ presented by RTX. We will have stations available where kids can learn about the FTC and FRC experience while having some fun!

FIRST Championship
The FIRST Championship is the culmination of the 2025 season. At this event, teams from over 100 different countries travel to Houston, Texas and compete across 8 divisions, all named after famous scientist. The winners of each division will come together to battle for the FIRST Championship. Team 1023 Bedford Express will be among these many teams compositing for the number 1 spot. Watch as our team squares off against the world’s finest in the Milstein division from 4/17 to 4/18 in qualification matches. On the morning of 4/19, the alliance selection will take place where the top 8 teams decide their 3 alliance partners.
Michigan State Championship
The Michigan State Championship is where Bedford Express will compete with Michigan’s finest teams for a place at the FRC Championship in Houston, Texas.
FIM District Milford Event
Bedford Express is excited to announce that our first district event will be at Milford High School on February 27th to March 1st! This event is a part of the FIRST In Michigan District. Teams competing at this event receive District Ranking Points based on their performance and any awards they receive! We will be competing in qualification and elimination matches in one division and give it our all to bring our division to the finals! At this event, we will work hard to not only win with our robot in the main competition but also win Impact with our talented presenters who will display our team’s outreach in our community to the judges!

Robot Unveil
This is the event where we as a team unveil our robot for the public to see after a 6 week long build season.

FRC Team 1023, Bedford Express, is hosting a FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifier for FTC teams in the South-Eastern Michigan Region. Hosted at Bedford’s very own high school, we are excited to host not only Bedford’s FTC teams, but surrounding FTC teams as well!
Build the Children Donation Event
Turning Gears, a FIRST Tech Challenge Team, is asking for donations of twin-size sheet sets, blankets, and pillows. Please talk with friends and family, collect donations, and drop them off at the Center. This is a great organization that needs your support!

Goonettes Girls Event
Bedford Express is excited to compete in the 2024 Goonettes Event! This all girls event will allow the women on team 1023 to showcase their talents in subgroups that they normally wouldn’t be a part of!
MARC Event
Team 1023 will be competing at Dundee’s MARC Competition. This will be Bedford Express’ hopeful drivers chance to show off their skills for the 2025 season!
(CANCELLED) BX on Track
July is Disability Pride Month, in observation we are hosting “BX on Track: A Walk for Disability Visibility” which is a charity fundraising event to raise money for Special Olympics, as well as to raise awareness for those with disabilities and the challenges they face.
Open House
Every year, we like to have an Open House to present FIRST Robotics to our community members who are interested in learning more about our FRC, FTC, FLL Challenge, and FLL Explore teams. This event marks the beginning of our 2024-2025 season and is a great opportunity to sign up for a FIRST team.
Worlds
This is the FRC Worlds Competition Event where the season will come to a cinematic finale in Houston, TX.
