Worlds Recap

From April 29th through May 2nd, our team competed at the FIRST Worlds Championships in Houston, Texas. We finished in 28th place in the Galileo Division, with 6 wins and 4 losses. We were chosen to be the 4th robot on the 8th alliance.

Our robot performed well, and any small brakes we had were able to be fixed quickly in between matches. Several members of our team also attended different seminars that were open, including seminars about Girls in STEM, Strategy, Media, Impact, and SASA, where one of our students, Grace, had the honor of speaking at.

Team Awards Banquet

On the 21st of May, we held our annual end of season banquet, where our Team Leads handed out customized “paper plate awards" to each and every one of the students on 1023 and our 8th grade team, 8423. We presented special awards to some of our students and mentors who have made a great impact on our team. Here we also celebrated our seniors that will be graduating.
