Goonettes Practices

Our team attends an all-girls, off-season, event, called Goonettes. The high-school girls from our team compete with our robot from last season, and we invite the junior-high girls to drive 8423’s robot at the competition. The girls meet to practice weekly in advance, learning controls, strategy, repairs for the robot, and how to drive.

Monroe County Fair Parking

One of our yearly fundraisers is volunteering at the Monroe County Fair. Our job is to direct cars at both parking lots throughout the entire week. Each team member hits a minimum of 20 hours, you can do more to hit varsity, and junior varsity.

CAD classes

We held classes about CAD for our junior-high teams, which focus on teaching them the basics of CAD and how they can use it in their FTC season.

Continuing subgroup meetings

We continued to hold weekly meetings for the subgroups, continuing work throughout the off-season.
