Week 6 (February 16th- 24th)

This Saturday February 28th Bedford Express and Next Express will be hosting our annual unveil. At Unveil we plan to show all that we have been working on since January 10th. We are inviting parents, sponsors, alumni, and anyone who wishes to come to this event.

Build

This week we have been able to assemble our whole robot! After many hours of machining and our CAD team planning the layout, we were able to make this happen quickly.

Electronics

After the robot was assembled we were able to start and complete the wiring process. We utilize any space we can get. Once we find the right positions for all of the electronics, we wire the robot to provide power and communication for all motors and the drivetrain. This process required hours of focused and detailed work.

Media

This year the media team wanted to try a few new things. We have decided to create a button that goes along with the theme of this year's game along with our original BX dot. We have also decided to create a logo for our robot's name that will be used on t-shirts and other branding aspects.

Strategy

This week we focused on making easy to read and understand graphs in tableau to make sure our strategy members understand all the data. We also worked on training our scouters on our new scouting app.

Programming

After build and electronics have finished doing their part on the robot it gets passed along to programming. We have spent some time preparing with old robots and programming them to act as our robot we just built to ease the transition and maximize our amount of time with the robot. This week has been mainly focused on programming basic tasks for our robot to do before we perfect them and get them up to our best speed.
