FIM District Jackson at Columbia Event

Bedford Express made the trip to Brooklyn, Michigan for our first district event of the season! Sponsored by Consumers Energy Foundation, our Week 1 event was full of trials and tribulations but was an extremely rewarding event! Through the ups and downs of competition, Bedford remained true to FIRST’s philosophies of Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition! After a tough competition on Saturday, our team came together and worked hard to become finalists out of 40 teams! Bedford Express’ determination and resilience allowed us to have a challenging, successful, and fun weekend of competition!

Dean’s List District Finalist - William Ingels

Along with our team competition, two of our incredible teammates, William Ingels and Olivia Szczepanik, were nominated and interviewed to become Dean’s List Semifinalists for our Michigan Championship Competition in April. Both William and Olivia did a wonderful job and worked hard preparing for their interviews. On Sunday, William was announced as the district competition’s sole semifinalist and eligible to compete for a finalist position at our Regional Competition in April! Congratulations William, we are so proud of you!
