Week 7 - The Beginning of Something Great! Unveil and Student Highlight

Unveil

The day our team was waiting for finally arrived with 1023 and 8423’s Unveil! Many parents, sponsors, and alumni watched as our team revealed the robotics we have worked long hours creating! Additionally, our impact team showed their skills by presenting our competition speech that our impact presenters will be giving at our events. Both robots performed exceptionally and we had a blast displaying everything we worked so hard for!

Student Spotlight and Sponsor Shoutout

Student Spotlight: Eric Koenemann (Electronics)

What is your subgroup working on this week in build season?

This week we are working on finishing wiring the BeamBreaks making sure everything is tied down so nothing will get pulled out when our shooter goes low. We are also working on wiring up the climber when that gets put on.

What has been the most challenging issue that has come up in your subgroup?

With the shooter having to go so low in our robot, finding ways to keep the wires out of their way has been the most challenging issue.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the build season so far?

Having the robot almost all wired in one day when we got it, usually it takes a bit longer than a day so being able to get it done in one was great.

What are you looking forward to during competition season?

Being able to drive this robot and seeing what all of our work has done and seeing how in this short of a time we can do what we do.
